Our tattoo artists come from a range of backgrounds and skill sets, able to do a wide variety of things ranging from small simple designs to entire sleeves. Our artists continue to hone their skills and seek new information on how to offer you the best experience. Our diverse studio staff offers something for everyone!

You can view our studio and state requirements here: https://sweetleafbodyarts.com/id-age-requirements/

For Tattoos: We accept walk-ins Friday through Sunday 12pm-6pm. First come, first serve.

For Piercings: We work by appointment only, but give us a call to check for same day availability.

Tips are never expected but always appreciated! Tattoo artists and piercers are service workers like your hair stylists, nail techs, waitresses and delivery drivers. The same tipping scale you may use for them, works for us too.

The best way to prepare is to take good care of yourself! Make sure you’re well rested, have had a good meal and are keeping hydrated. A happy body makes for happy healing!

We cannot perform any tattoo or piercing services if you are:

  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Currently on anti-acne medication such as Accutane or similar products.
  • Badly sunburned.
  • Fighting illness (such as the flu).
  • Planning to travel or swim within the next 2-6 weeks.

Unfortunately due to the nature of our services, we do not accept returns. All body jewelry sales are final. We recommend that if you are purchasing body jewelry as a gift for someone else, be sure you know the exact size needed, otherwise we offer gift certificates! Gift certificates are non-refundable but can be used by someone other than the name listed.

Pain levels vary from person to person so it’s hard to give an exact “yes” or “no”. What we can say though is that our amazing staff will do everything they can to calm your nerves and make the experience an enjoyable one!

Piercing Questions

Absolutely! We stock and order from a variety of companies and can happily help you obtain that perfect piece! A 50% deposit is required at time of ordering. Depending on the company we are ordering from, custom pieces can take anywhere from 6-10 weeks to come in. All deposits are transferable but non-refundable.

Unfortunately, no! It is best not to swim with a new piercing as contaminants from the body of water can affect your healing process. Some piercings such as navels and nipples can be covered with a waterproof bandage during healing, other piercings should not be submerged for a minimum of 2 months after being pierced.

If you are having any issues with a piercing, it’s best to come in and see us so we can take a look. Once we see the piercing in person we can decide what the best course of action is to get things headed in the right direction!

As mentioned in our “Returns” portion of the FAQ, all body jewelry sales are final. We will happily help you find a new piece that suits your changing tastes though!

We do not pierce with any outside jewelry. This is because we want to guarantee proper fit, metal quality, surface finish, and sterility to give you the safest experience possible! If you’re looking for something specific that we don’t currently stock in our studio, feel free to talk with us about custom ordering for you!

Tattoo Questions

Our minimum is $150-$200. Outside of this, pricing is dependent on design and will vary per artist. We recommend you set up a consultation appointment with one of our artists to further discuss the details!

Unfortunately, no! It is best not to swim with a new tattoo as contaminants from the body of water can affect your healing process. Showers are fine, but you do not want to submerge your new tattoo until it is fully healed. You can ask your artist about the recommended times to avoid swimming as different tattoos will have different healing times. If you’re here on vacation or just for a visit, try to book your appointment for after your water/sun based activities!

We do require a deposit for all tattoo appointments. The deposit ensures that in the event you don’t show up to your appointment, the artist is compensated for the time spent preparing for your appointment (drawing, setup, etc.)

As long as you show up on time to your appointment, your deposit will be subtracted from the cost of your tattoo.

If you cancel your appointment, show up 30 or more minutes late, or do not reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, your deposit will be forfeited.

The more information you can give us, the better! We ask that you lets us know:

  • The location of the tattoo
  • What image/design you’d like to get done (please include any reference photos you may have)
  • How big you’d like the tattoo to be
  • If you have a preferred artist you’re looking to book with
  • If this is a new tattoo or a cover-up
